Frequently Asked Questions

Who do you work with?

I welcome adults aged 18 and older from all backgrounds, identities, genders, and beliefs. I am deeply committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free space for everyone.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number of sessions. Everyone’s situation and needs are different. Some clients may benefit from a few focused sessions, while others may prefer ongoing support. We will regularly review your progress and decide together what feels appropriate for you.

Do you provide psychiatric diagnoses or clinical treatment?

No. I do not provide psychiatric diagnoses, crisis intervention, or treatment for severe clinical psychiatric disorders.

Please seek specialized professional care for these needs. If you are in crisis, immediately contact your doctor, your local emergency services, or a suicide prevention helpline.

How does payment work?

I operate on a direct-pay basis, with payment due after every session. Please note that my sessions are not covered by Dutch health insurance. However, if you have international insurance, you can consult with them directly to check your coverage.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes. I believe that financial circumstances should not always be a barrier to receiving support. A limited number of sliding-scale spaces are available for clients experiencing financial difficulty.

If you would like to discuss a reduced rate, please feel comfortable to bring this up with me.

Is my information confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality and privacy are fundamental to my practice.

All personal information and information shared during sessions is handled with care and in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), known in the Netherlands as the AVG.

Your personal information and the content of our sessions will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious and immediate concern regarding the safety of yourself or others.

What if I have a concern or complaint?

Your experience and well-being are important to me. If you have a concern about your sessions or the support you receive, I encourage you to speak with me first so that we can try to resolve the matter together.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you can make use of the independent complaint’s procedure through Erisietsmisgegaan.
